REBENT (Réseau Benthique / Benthic Network) aims to collect and format data on habitats, and associated benthic biocenoses, in the coastal zone. This relevant and consistent data is made available to scientists, managers and the public enabling them to better understand what already exists and to detect spatial and temporal trends.
The Benthos database now includes 106 datasets, nearly 300,000 faunal recordings, 10,000 stations sampled and nearly 100,000 associated parameter values.
